In the middle of the 16th century in a region called Bohemia... a new craft was born. Glass bead making. Because of the area’s abundant resources of water, quartz, and sand, the materials needed to create glass beads, the craft grew into a thriving industry. If you visit be sure to go to the glass museums! There are a couple of larger factories but many beads are produced in smaller family-run "factories" that still thrive today. We try our best to work with smaller businesses whenever we can.
Here you will find pressed glass beads as well as table cut
and lampwork beads in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.
