These tiny beads start as kiln-fired terracotta "biscuits." They are then fired a second time with rough copper, and finished with a coating of colorant. The thickness varies giving these more interest when beaded together. Some of them will be sticking together but they separate easily.
They are lightweight yet sturdy.
